All season I have been worried about my driving. I hit a 10.5 degree Callaway FT-5 and whilst I am averaging about 220 yards per drive and the ball is going straight, some of my friends are out-driving me with their 9 degree drivers. I thought maybe I should look into getting my own 9 or 9.5 degree driver so i tested one at the local golf range. Made no difference to distance but it did develop a fade in my drives. Turns out when I come down a few degrees there is less spin on the ball and there is little distance gained. What is gained is lost in a slice/hook. I would recommend a 10.5 degree Callaway to anyone.
